Austin Polish Society is happy to pass on the message from Polish Club at UT, a student organization at the University of Texas at Austin

Support for the Polish Club at UT

The Polish Club at UT is a group of UT students (both undergraduate and graduate) dedicated to all things Polish. The club meets weekly where we cook Polish food together, engage in traditional Polish folk dance, watch Polish movies, travel to Polish-related sites in Texas (like Panna Maria) and host guest speakers. The club was founded to serve as a Polish community for UT students, to promote Polish culture on campus, and to help students connect with their Polish heritage. There are over 80 students on our mailing list, but we usually have 10-15 students regularly show up to meetings. The club members are both Polish and non-Polish. While some club members speak Polish, most do not.

Today, we are asking you for donations to support our mission. With the funds we receive, we will purchase club t-shirts, cater Polish food for some of our events, help cover travel costs to Polish-related sites, and the like. Any donation is greatly appreciated.

We have a goal of raising $5,000 and are thus asking that you please give what you can. Payments can be made using PayPal with this link [paypal.com]. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can make a payment using a debit/credit card through the PayPal link as well. Alternatively, checks can be made out to the “Polish Club at UT” and mailed to 2204 San Antonio St. #1501, Austin, Texas 78705. We are asking donors to please enter their names and email addresses in the “comment” section of their PayPal payment so the club can properly express its gratitude. Anonymous donations are also acceptable.  Thank you very much for your support and generosity.
