About Us

Austin Polish Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2005 by a group of passionate people who wanted to keep the Polish culture, language and heritage alive in the Austin area. The mission of APS is to establish a society open to the general public:

  • To encourage, and further knowledge of Polish culture, traditions, history, language, arts, current affairs, and local events.
  • To foster friendly relations between the American and Polish people.

APS is a membership organization governed by its board of directors (consisting of twelve seats). At the end of each year, six seats on the board are up for election for two-year terms. Directors may be elected by members or appointed by the board to fill vacancies. Members interested in serving on the board are encouraged to apply (Application for Board of Directors Position).

Regular board meetings are held on the first Monday of each month. If you are interested in attending and learning more about our events and projects, email us at info@austinpolishsociety.org for details.
