Reports to: The Board of Directors, Polish Heritage Center at Panna Maria Foundation
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field of management and public interaction.
- Leadership of a business or operation that included responsibility for personnel management, revenue generation, fiscal management, and facility management.
- At least five years of experience is desirable.
- Experience in successfully building a for-profit or not-for-profit entity.
- Experience in income generation, and/or in soliciting gifts from individuals, organizations, and corporations.
- Experience in developing and managing a budget and monitoring financial performance.
- Experience in creating and leading the execution of a strategic and a business plan.
- Experience in hiring and firing, coaching, monitoring, and evaluating both employees and volunteers.
- Experience managing a facility with a technology-intensive environment.
- Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products, including databases and spreadsheet applications.
- Possess a passion for enriching and promoting Polish history and heritage.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a vision to grow and sustain the Polish Heritage Center in accordance with its founder’s mission and values, and lead in executing that vision with a strategy and a business plan.
- Oversee all PHC undertakings including income generation from multiple sources; budgeting; all elements of facility operations and maintenance; regional, national, and international marketing; and public educational programing both on-site and virtual.
- Implement existing policies and suggest to the Board any policy updates that experience warrants.
- Ensure the PHC complies with all relevant statutes and guidelines.
- Manage and evaluate all PHC employees and volunteers.
- Serve as the public face of the PHC with Texas and American Polonia, with Polish ministries and NGOs, and with professional organizations…building relationships and leveraging relevant media.
