Last week, November 23 and 24, we had the pleasure of hosting representatives of the Instytut Pamięci Narodowej. In the Polish school, students took part in workshops led by Ms. Marta Golińska. The youngest students learned about national symbols, and older children had the chance to learn about the history of the Battle of Monte Cassino. In addition to great fun, as well as very attractive classes prepared by Ms. Marta, students from the Polish school had the opportunity to learn more about the history of Poland.
Workshops for adults prepared by Dr. Beata Kopcińska took place on Sunday, November 24. The Polish community had the opportunity to watch a moving film entitled Faith 44 (Wiarra44), presenting the fate of the Warsaw uprising, listen to a lecture on the history of the insurrection, and participate in a talk about the events of that time. We would like to thank the representatives of the IPN for preparing the classes and honoring us with their presence.
