The annual Austin Polish Society Bigos Cook-Off and hike is on the calendar!
WHEN: Saturday, March 25th, 2023
TIME: 2 pm – 5 pm
WHERE: Woodland Park at River Place (large, covered area).

TICKETS: $8.00 (APS members), $12.00 for non-members,
Children under 10 – free
We provide sausage, bread, condiments, and water. There is a covered playscape for children, room for soccer and more. APS mobile library will be present.
We need chefs to compete in this contest!
If you are interested in competing, please let me know by March 22, 2023.
You will need to bring at least 2 gallons of bigos in a slow cooker or crockpot (electricity is available for heating). Judges will award special prizes to the best three cooks.
You will have a chance to prepare and share your special bigos using your secret spices and taste other contestants’ creations!

HIKE:
The 1.5 hour hike will start at 5pm, across the street from the picnic area (weather permitting). Please wear comfortable shoes.
Come to taste and vote on the best-tasting bigos, enjoy Polish songs and have fun !
