Here’s your chance to sample various Polish Bigos recipes!
Bigos is a delicious traditional Polish dish also known as Polish hunter’s stew. Bigos recipes vary quite a bit in different regions of Poland and now you will have a chance to try many variations of this tasty dish!
Please come to vote, taste, or just have fun! We’ll have games, Polish music, sausage from the grill and lots of bigos. What a great opportunity to celebrate Polish Constitution Day!
Soft drinks will be provided; you bring whatever else you want to drink.
There is a covered playscape for children, as well as room for soccer and more.
Open to public.
WHEN: Saturday – May 3rd, 2025, TIME: 2pm to 6pm

TICKETS: $10.00. Children under 12 are free.
WE NEED CHEFS TO COMPETE IN THIS COOK OFF CONTEST!!!
If you are interested in competing, please let us know by sending an e-mail by April 30, 2025, to info@austinpolishsociety.org with the subject “Bigos 2025 chef”. Number of available entries is limited. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a spot in the cook off competition.
To compete you need to provide at least 2 gallons of Bigos in a slow cooker or crock pot (electricity is available).
Each contestant will receive our fashionable APS Bigos Cook-Off apron, and the judges will award additional special prizes to the best three cooks.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!!
Please help us with setup and cleaning. Setup will start at 1PM, before the event. Cleanup will start immediately after the event.
