The annual Austin Polish Society Grand Bigos Cook-Off and hike will return on Saturday March 19, 2022.
Bigos recipes vary quite a lot in Poland, and you will have a chance to try many variations of this tasty dish.
If you are interested to compete, please let me know by March 14, 2022
You will need to bring at least 2 gallons of bigos in a slow cooker or crockpot (electricity is available for heating). Judges will award special prizes to the best three cooks.
You will have a chance to prepare and share your special bigos using your secret spices and taste other contestants’ creations!

We provide sausages, bread, condiments, and water. There is a covered playscape for children and room for soccer and more.
HIKE:
The 1.5 hour hike will start at 5pm, across the street from the picnic area (weather permitting). Please wear comfortable shoes.
Come to taste and vote on the best-tasting bigos, enjoy Polish songs and have fun !
