Please join us for our annual APS Bigos Cook-Off on Saturday, April 20th 2024.
Bigos is a traditional Polish dish, known as hunter’s stew, made with various types of meats, sauerkraut, sausage, mushrooms, plums and lots of other secret ingredients… Here is some inspiration on Bigos recipies . Come and taste the different takes of this traditional dish by our local home chefs!

You will need to cook about 2 gallons of Bigos for this competition. Bring it in an electric crock pot (a.k.a slow cooker).
Each contestant will receive our fashionable APS Bigos Cook-Off apron and the judges will award additional special prizes to the best three cooks!
TIME: Saturday April 20th, 2:00pm – 6:00pm
PLACE: Woodland Park at River Place (large covered area), 8820 Big View Drive, Austin, TX 78730
COST: APS Members $10, Non-Member $12, includes a sausage with fixings; children under 12: free; Bigos contestants come in free.
