3/29/2026 – Representatives of the Austin Polish Society—Joanna Sokołowska-Gwizdka, President of the organization, and Jacek Gwizdka, Board Member—attended a meeting with the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, held on March 29, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.
During the meeting, Joanna Sokołowska-Gwizdka presented the President with her book dedicated to Helena Modrzejewska—an outstanding artist and émigré who never forgot her Polish roots. She also spoke about the cultural activities of the Austin Polish Society, emphasizing the organization’s role in promoting Polish culture and fostering Polish-American relations.
